Within this project, CoasterChat was designed to suggest family members different topics to talk about with their relative with dementia and reduces the threshold of reaching out by incorporating it into an existing routine. They can record a video, voice message or send a picture to the person with dementia. The person with dementia can follow the intuitive instructions of CoasterChat and return an answer. CoasterChat is built to create communicational experiences that connect family members and people with dementia through design.
